Exclamation Useful sites for pre-nursing AND nursing students

http://allnurses.com/forums/showthread.php?t=28203

This is a "sticky" from the nursing student forum. Many sites are useful for pre-nursing, too. If you find one you like, add it.

Microbio website

This is an excellent microbiology course website. It's an actual course, but you can view the lectures, labs etc. It's fabulous!!!!

I like to review experiements that are like the ones I am doing in my own class, just before test. it's a great review tool.

Hugs!

My site is www.nursingjourney.com.

Right now, I have lab pics from A&P 1, along with quizzes (including PowerPoint quizzes) which I have made to help me study.

I have pics and/or quizzes for the following: tissues, muscles, bones, nervous system (brain, spinal cord), etc.

Hope it helps someone!

A&P website

Hi everyone. I am just starting my journey to becoming a nurse. not sure if this website has been listed yet, but i was doing a web search and found it quite interesting. I think it will be a big help to me, and wanted to share it with you. http://mandevillehigh.stpsb.org/2005.../biology2.html
it has some very graphic pictures of actual disections, as well as links to other sites. I hope you all will find it usefull.

NET test/nursing prereqs

Hi, I am taking my prereq courses right now toward the nursing program at my school. I am going to be taking the NET test this fall. Could anyone who has already taken the test help me with what might be on the test?

I am also kinda nervous of the classes I have to take. How hard is microbiology, a & p, and chemistry? Does anyone have any easy suggestions on how I should schedule taking my classes? I was going to take micro, A&P, a math class, and devel psych next semester. Is that smart of me or is that way too much work then I should do right now?

Thank you!!
Nicole

I guess it depends on how strong you are in the sciences. I would personally not take the Micro class with all the other classes because I feel Micro will need my undivided attention.

But of course there'll be people here who tell you to go for it because they had no problems. Only you know your litmitations and strengths. Choose wisely Grasshopper.
