So this might be a really lame thread, but when you received your acceptance/denial letter was it a thin letter or thick packet??

I've rec'd one for the wait list and one acceptance so far. Both have been in thick-ish envelopes because they enclosed the health forms and other misc. info.

Mine was a thin, regular sized envelope. I almost started crying before I opened it because I *knew* it had to be a rejection letter because it was so thin. The first sentence of the letter thanked me for my interest in the program, so I *knew* it had to be a rejection letter.

But the second sentence said I was accepted. They had me fill out the bottom half of the letter to accept my spot and THEN they mailed me the health packet, etc. a few months later.

So it could be either. So don't cry before you open it!!

I got a pretty thick full-paper size envelope. Maybe like a half an inch thick. The first page was the acceptance letter. Then all kinds of paper work to fill out, directions to get a physical, immunizations, fingerprinted, drug tested, etc... Uniform ordering directions. And then a nursing student handbook. Lots of stuff to go through. I had to pretty much "study it" so I wouldn't miss anything important.

Mine was thick also. DH got it and called me. That was the first thing I asked him, "thick or thin" and he said thick so I said "well open it!".

It's funny...I wasn't going to post this b/c I was thinking the exact same thing.

It seems like majority of places send a packet. So, I guess I will know even before opening it. If it's thin, I just **KNOW** I will burst into tears.

I first heard this in 1962-thick or thin......then when I applied for BSN school I went straight to an interview with the dean.....no paperwork at all.....but she WAS a rather slender (thin) lady now that I think of it.
