Teas Test Scores - which one???

This has probably already been talked about, but here it goes again....

I have a print out of scores, It shows like this: What Do all these mean?
ADJUSTED COMPOSITE SCORE:
MEAN-NATIONAL:
MEAN-PROGRAM:
PERCENTILE RANK - NATIONAL
PERCENTILE RANK - PROGRAM:

Which is which, like your actual final score and what percentage is a minimum score? Nobody actually went thru it with me.
I know I did very well on everything except for the Chemical Science portion...
Aaahhhh, can somebody please explain, thanks

Re: Teas Test Scores - which one???

I am not sure but I think it varies by school. Your best bet would be to ask the admissions advisor what they are looking for as far as test scores. Some schools rely heavily on them while others rely more on GPA, references, interview, entrance essays, etc. At any rate, I hope whatever you scored is good enough to get you into ns.

Best of luck.

Re: Teas Test Scores - which one???

I am applying to SJSU, my belief is that they look first at GPA and then at TEAS test scores (for a tie-breaker...) but, again, I believe that it's the overall score they are looking at, not individual scores. if I look at the website I see Score: (number) National Percentile: (number) and Program Percentile: (number), is that what you have as well?

Smile Re: Teas Test Scores - which one???

At the school I go to they look at your composite score (not the national or school average, which is also listed). I got an 89.4 both times I have taken it. I was told by the head of the nursing department that she has not seen anyone get over a 95 composite. From others I have talked with the scores ranged from 74 to 91, with the average being around 79 to 81 for most individuals. I hope this helps, but it is very school specific.

Re: Teas Test Scores - which one???

I scored a 92.5 which was 99%. I would imagine what the pp said was pretty accurate, most students getting between 74-91
