Need Information - suggestions on anatomy and phy books

I was wondering if anyone knew of a anatomy book that you could buy at Barnes and Noble, etc that explains physiology better than my text. Our text is not the best.

Thanks

Re: suggestions on anatomy and phy books

carlarenee,
Im pretty sure you can find great books at barnes and nobles for Physio. I remember going there a few months ago and searching through a plethora of books thinking I wish I had some of them while taking A&P. Also, theres a greaaatt deal of information on this site as well as other internet sources that explains things differently.

Which book do you have? I took Anatomy and Phys as two separate classes, and the book we used in Anatomy (which in my school was Biol 20, hence my screen name ) was the tenth edition of Tortora and Grabowski's "Principles of Anatomy & Physiology". IMO, it's a good book, and it looks like you can get a used one on Amazon starting at $15. You could also look at Kapit & Elson's "Physiology Coloring Book".

I can't offer much more in the way of a strictly Phys book, as the teacher was terrible and I figured I already had a combo A&P book, so I sold it back to the college.

All of my recommendations are from classes I took a few years ago (Anatomy was in 2005, I think, and Phys was 2006?), so they're a bit old, but I hope that my helps you nonetheless.
