Hello, I am starting this semester, my first college experiance. I graduated early. I am 16, and I have scholarships to pay for my tuition and books, but I cannot afford to start the Nursing Program yet, so this sememester I am taking ENG 101, A&P I, and General Psych. I was wondering if theses were good choices? I am trying to introduce myself slowly.

I will be getting a summer job so I can pay the prelimanary expenses of the Nursing program, and I do look forward to starting the program in Fall.

BTW, My name is Nathan, and I live in South Carolina, and I will be turning 17 in Feb.

Sounds like good choices to me. All are probably required for the nursing program and if they're not you'll need them anyway. I enjoyed all those classes, hope you will too.

Will you be full-time with that schedule? Make sure that if your scholarship requires a certian amount of hours you get them. You have to be alot more self-advocating in college than in High school. At times you'll have to force issues because the college won't always care.

Congradulations on graduating early. College isnt too bad. Just different.

Yea I have looked into the credit hour requirement, I am also signing up for Intro to Sociology. That will give me enough credit hours to qualify.

And all of the classes except for Sociology is a requirement, but that is more of a personal interest.

That's another good choice for a class. I know that around here Sociology is required for a BSN or MSN ect. So you'll have that when you want it.

They all sound like good choices to me.

Just make sure you keep up with the reading and assignments. The classes usually start slowly then before you know it you have a lot of stuff to do at once. Usally all due at the same time too !

I agree with the other posters that those sound like great choices. Please make sure you sit down with an advisor to get their input also.

College is DEFINITELY different from high school. Make sure you stay in contact with your professors (in class questions, email, office visits) regarding any questions you have, definitely make yourself a block schedule, live by a to do list, and stay on top of your reading and assignments and you will do fine.

I also started college when I was 16 because I graduated early. I'm now 17 and about to start my 3rd semester of college. I'm still not in the nursing program but just doing general subjects. I enjoyed starting college early but I must warn u, some people may comment on your age but overall most people just think you are really really smart. I didn't get very many negative comments at all. So best wishes to you and pm me anytime.
