Re: Personal Statement

wow you can still get into a University by Jan?? My deadline was back in November. Just be honest and genuine about why you want to be a nurse. Say that you have a strong work ethic and have a strong desire to help people. Say how intelligent and competnt you are and how you want to use that to better the lives of others and how it's your dream to attend their school...

hope that helps =]

Re: Personal Statement

How much has the uni asked you to write, have they given you any sort of guidelines? Could expand on why you want to be a nurse in the UK and if you are aware of current UK issues like pay and poor job situation without going into too much detail, they are probably looking to why you want to go into nursing. We have a couple of UK students posting in the UK forum and one of them may answer later today

Re: Personal Statement

i mentioned academics that were relevant i have studied science at university and that i prefered when there was a direct human application. i remember writing about my key experience that made me want to be a nurse, i was open and raw about my feelings, and that i saw a RN as a ticket to many life options. and while i made sure the spelling and grammar were good.
what uni are you applying to UWE?

Re: Personal Statement

I think that it might help to write something about how you are an accomplished critical thinker and problem solver because you sure need those skills as a nurse.
