Passing Board exams, Nclex and etc

Is it true that it is your "attitude" toward nursing matters most in order to pass these kind of exams?

Attitude? Where did you hear that? You can have the world's greatest "attitude toward nursing," and, if you don't know the information, you're not going to pass.

In fact, speaking as someone who has taught nursing on and off for many years, one of the great frustrations in nursing education is the people who have poor attitudes but are v. bright and academically adept -- the faculty know that they're going to make lousy nurses, but they're going to pass all the exams with flying colors, so there's nothing that can be done about it ...

My understanding is that these are very objective information-based tests. If you know the stuff, you'll pass, attitude be d*&@ed!

Not all attitude, but attitude has something to do with it. I mean if you go there thinking you are doomed and never gonna pass, you have just undermined your own capabilities.

However, if you go in there telling yourself you KNOW this stuff and are going to do great, you have a better chance of passing.

A woman from the BON came to speak to our class the other day and said to embrace your anxiety and fear. Learn to accept it and live with it, and know it will be there on test day. Prepare yourself for this and understand you can do well with this anxiety, in fact it can help you do better as we all operate a little better under some stress!

Good luck!
