Re: A&P II Summer 2008

I am taking A&P II this summer, June 9 - August 14. I am a nervous wreck about it!! I am a single parent with a 9 month old and not much baby sitting available, I HOPE it all goes well. I am taking it at Collin County Community College in Frisco, anyone else?

Re: A&P II Summer 2008

Count me in, I'm taking A&P II this summer at KSU in GA. First class is tonight! It's an 8 week course (lecture and lab), 5 hours/day, 2 days/week. I'm nervous but excited! I got an A in A&P I in the spring, so I'm hoping I can pull it off again.

Hey Katie,
It's nice to have you here. Your posts are always helpful. I see you're in North Georgia and going to KSU. I'm from North Georgia and my brother goes to KSU. Good Luck!

Re: A&P II Summer 2008

With it being a summer class, you probably won't have much free time but if you do, I'd recommend downloading the Berkley series of AP, they are pretty good. I'm lucky that I have a job where I can listen to music and I'd just put them on and try and catch stuff here and there. Fun times good luck to you all!

Re: A&P II Summer 2008

I'll be taking A&P II this summer (7 week course), as well as Organic Chemistry (I know - I must be completely insane!). It was the only way I could fit Organic into my schedule before I apply to nursing schools (my top choice has Org as an absolute pre-req). I have three kids 7 yrs. old and under - and a wonderful husband who supports me fantastically. If anyone has any advice for me - I'm all ears!!! Good luck to everyone this summer.

I know I should be studying right now, but it just seems so boring. I hate the endocrine chapter with a passion.

Me too! I'm working on the cardiovascular chapter. I skimmed through the endocrine chapter. I really need to go back and study it to prepare for the first exam, but it's so dull.

Me too!!! Ok so the hormones tell the organs to do things...alright already, I get it! Didn't we already learn this stuff with the neurotransmitters? On the bright side, it's at least familiar. And I definitely don't hate it as much as I hated memorizing every dadgum muscle in the body! Good luck everybody!

Re: A&P II Summer 2008

At least the chapter about blood is marginally more interesting. I already have my first test to take at the end of this week. GAH! I'm taking mine completely online, anyone else? It's not the way I would have preferred, but from all of the other teachers at my school, I heard to never take class with the one who is teaching in on campus this summer. So I went with that advice!

Since it's online only, I have a fetal pig in my house I've not opened him yet (named him Hector!) but I'm dreading it. Not because it's gross, just because it's in my own apartment! I actually wish I had a lecture of some sort, even if it was just a dvd of the teacher lecturing because that part's way harder for me. So what I'm doing instead is downloading all of the powerpoints (sooooooo many!) and downloading anp2 podcasts from iTunes, and listening to them all night at work every night. It's not perfect but it's something.
