Hey!

I thought I should start a thread for people who applied to the NYU 15 Month Accelerated Nursing Program for Fall 2008.

Lets all be friends while we wait for April 1st to come around!

Does anybody have any info the selection process? Obviously it's competitive, but are they looking at anything in particular? (GPA, Pre-reqs, Extra-curriculars, etc.)

Hey! Im also applying for NYUs accelerated program. Are we really supposed to hear April 1st?

thats what it says on the website.

If you applied before march 1, you should expect a response around april 1.

If you applied after march 1, then it is rolling admission until july.

Hi!

I also applied for the program! I keep calling and they said they haven't entered my grades yet into their system...I'm going nuts. I literally sent in my application 2 days before the deadline, because I decided late that I wanted to go there. Did either of you hear back yet?

I talked to the admissions counselor and asked her when we were supposed to hear decisions. She said that they are just starting to review applications for the 15 month program and would prob not sending out letters until early May, late april at the earliest.
I sent in my application in Februrary.

Hello everyone! I applied to the accelerated program as well...

Thank you for posting that you learned the decision letters will not go out until the end of April at the earliest... I can stop obsessing about the mail for a few weeks at least!

...i also applied for nyu's 15-month accelerated nursing program for fall 2008. i submitted my application very early on nov. 11, 2007.

...i haven't heard from them. someone posted here of a notification date of around late april or early may. i think that's correct.

...i'm quite anxious for my result as well. i'm currently in an assoicate's program for nursing. but since i have a previous bachelor's degree, i'm really hoping that i will get in the nyu's nursing accelerated program.

Hey everyone! I'm also an applicant for NYU's 15-month accelerated program this fall. I spoke to someone in admissions last week and was told that applications have not even been reviewed yet and notifications will be sent late May or early June. So, let's not hold our breaths, right?
Well, best of luck to you all! I'm going to keep busy with phys and microbio, which I'm taking now
