I took nutrition online last semester along with AP1. Yes the class was easier than expected but it was still a lot of work for me. I was pleasantly surprised that a lot of it I already knew either from previous classes taken or just general knowledge.
For those who are taking it online AND have a group project: Be the designated leader quickly of your group and keep everyone on track! Someone stepped up on the first day after the groups were made and claimed to be the leader - which was basically ALL she did! I eventually took up that role along with the roles of a majority of the group since our leader didn't do much and and didn't push anyone else to do their part. Sure we all did a share but when it came to putting it all together, editing, flowing, and posting it was all me.
Good luck to you all! It truly is a very interesting class! I enjoyed it (my gf would tell you that I became her personal nutritionist too haha).

Hey! Found a useful site for anyone who is taking this class online or anyone that wants for lecture time. UC Berkeley has a bunch of classes online...Introduction to Nutrition is one of them. I have a test tomorrow and listening to there lecture on it and it has become really helpful in understanding how the whole digestive system works. here ya go...

I'm also taking Nutrition, and so far I hate it! I need a challenge, and this class is just plain boring. My teacher is nice, and she tries to make the class think nutrition is facinating, but sorry, the class just makes me feel fat and guilty when I eat not-so-healthy food. I wanted SOOOO badly to take this and Human Growth and Development in 8 week courses, but unfortunatly there weren't any.
Have a Great Day!

I too will be taking the Nutrition class online—it starts next Monday (2/4).
Where I go to school at online classes tend to be a little harder in the sense that we must post 'intelligent' discussions weekly with weekly quizzes whereas in class I would just be listening to a lecture and taking a test here and there.
I hope the time goes by quickly...I am also taking AP1, Human Growth, and Intermediate Algebra this semester.

That is too bad that you find displeasure in this class. I took it last semester and loved it. True it made me realize what I was putting into my body, and in all honestly I already knew but this reiterated the fact that I needed to work on my nutrition. And it has paid off! Since taking this class and doing the self evaluation (mine was an online class) it has lead me to begin eating healthy and I've even lost weight because of it
Take the challenge of incorperating what you learn in class into your lifestyle, that was a challenge for me but a very rewarding one. Good luck in your class.

I guess compared to A&P & Microbiology it is a pretty simple class in every way. I am enjoying the class b/c I lost 50 pounds last year & I am trying to keep off the weight. I am applying this class to my life & hoping I can learn & live it. You shouldn't feel guilty, we all cheat and eat a little more than we are suppose to. Thats life, no biggie. Regardless of you being there or not they are still going to teach the class so it is not personal. Its ok!
