Re: NLN Results....

I'm taking it tomm at 7:30am.

1) Why don't they give these tests at 11am?

2) I did all 3 practice tests, average was 41/60 Verbal; 30/40 Math; 40/60 Science. Hope that's what I hit on the actual test. Based on what I'm reading here, it should give me a 80%+ percentile.

Will update when they come in....

Re: NLN Results....

Good lord, I'm tired.

I think I did well in the verbal and math, I finished both with 15 mins to go back and check my work

The science on the other hand... Let's just say we'll see what happens. I'd be shocked and happy if I got 50 out of 80. So many physics and electricity questions. Pointless.

Keep in mind that they don't figure your grade by averaging the amount right vs. amount of questions. Your percentage is based on other who have taken the test. So, you may surprise yourself!!

Keep us posted!! I'm curious to see how you did!!!

I just got the scores in today. One week after I took it, I stared at the envelope for an hour before I opened it.

The science was tough and I got what I expected after finishing high school 11 years ago, but I killed the verbal and math. All those years of recreational reading paid off!

Verbal: 57/60
Math: 36/40
Science: 41/60

Composite: 148

AD Composite Percentile Score (The one my school goes by): 98!!!

Were you a math major and changed to nursing, was your first degree in math, or did you mean a minor?

umm actually finishing a BS in math at the moment and planning on going straight into an ADN program. i was originally majoring in engineering (first electrcial then switched to mechanical) but i figured out i really didnt' like it. a BS in math was fastest way to finish and make use of my engineering credits. that and i like math. so yea. but career options with a math degree aren't all that abundant or appealing to me so i started looking into nursing. and here i am.
