Re: NLN Results....

Koko, for my program they go on points, like if you scored over 115, u get 1 pt and 122-127 2 pts and so on, so I think it just depends on your school. We get points for our prereqs, GPA, NLN score and other lil things. That adds up to a score to either get you in or not...I believe I heard if you get 19-21 pts, depending on semester you apply for, you get accepted.

The NLN stands for the National League for Nursing, there are several different NLN exams, but the one we are all stressing about is the pre-entrance exam. This exam is given at the specific school's discretion, meaning not all nursing school give it, and it is not mandatory for entrance into all nursing schools like the MCAT is for all med schools (guys you can correct me if I am wrong about that). It is only mandatory for the specific school that choose to include it in their admissions process.
So you can check with the school/schools you are applying too to find out if they use the NLN Pre admissions exam.

Re: NLN Results....

Hi everyone!!!
I'm a newbie. I take my pre-entrance exam 4/19..this coming Thursday. And to be honest.... I am sooo not prepared . Reading this thread has me in panic mode..lol. I will try my best, but I do feel that I will have to take the exam again next semester. Yup..i'm that unprepared. I jumped on the list for the exam last minute. If I don't get a high score, I'll continue to finish up my other required courses & get them out the way. So when it's time for me to do clinical and my nursing courses, I won't have to worry about any more Bio courses, math courses, psychology courses or english. I'm sooo stressed with all of my other classes, it's hard to get in the groove of preparing for this exam.

Question. How much time did you take to study before taking the exam?

Re: NLN Results....

Hmmm... so the NLN is the exam that most of you take to get into the nursing program? In my school, we take the HESI exam to get into the program. Well anyway, good luck to all of you who are awaiting your scores
