Re: NLN Results....

I just got my NLN (2/17/07) scores and got a 112 composite. I did great on the verbal but horribly in Math, possibly because I ran out of time

Re: NLN Results....

Ok i didn't get what i wanted because i wanted a 120 and i did really sucky on the math section because i ran out of time with a lot of questions left...and the school i'm applying to only want you to get a 110 before they even look at your application (meaning u could get a 109 and they won't touch your application)..anyway long story short I PASSED!!!!! 115 I actually did better than i thought on the verbal and of course the science carried me all the way i didn't really get how they came about the score cause when I added i got a 129 but they composite score said 115. Either way I'm happy, my GPA can now do the rest of the decision making as to whether or not they accept me into the program! Thanks to those who gave me their warm wishes and helpful tricks!

Re: NLN Results....

Thanks! omg i was going crazy the night before just studying for it and I feel like i would have gotten higher if i had more time to do the math but i just calculate too slow without a calculator <---major disadvantage when taking this test.

Re: NLN Results....

The time on the math test flies by. Bink your eyes and you are done. My testing group all groaned when time was called after this one. It was funny because we all could have used more time.

I love to be able to go back and check all my work to make sure I didn't skip anything or double a line, but couldn't do this for the math or science. I don't like having the extra security if reviewing my work. I need that!! lol

A calculator really would have helped because some of the them weren't hard, but very time consuming. hehe

Re: NLN Results....

Congrats girls on your wonderful scores. So I was looking at how long this thread has gotten and maybe we should ask the mods to make this a sticky for all nln takers and for hints to how the exam might be and what scores people have gotten and for an idea as to what schools might be looking for? I mean looks to me like this thread is going to get a billion posts lol! And there is lots of advice in this thread I wish it was already here before I took my nln! What do you guys think about it?

Re: NLN Results....

I know that an adult male of 80kg weighs 747 or so Newtons, and that a child weighs around 50 Newtons, so I assumed the answer was 500 Newtons in the exam. However, alot of people seem to have put 50 for that answer, so Im not sure. But i do know for a fact that an adult male weighs approx 747 Newtons. ????????
