Re: NLN Results....

Hi Girls,

I have been reading all of your posts. I am from Texas. At our school you gain entrance into the program on a points system. First you have to take all the prerequisite classes, when you finish that you have to take Intro to Nursing and pass with an 83 or higher anything lower is failing. You also have take the ACT and the lowest composite you can have is a 19. You earn points based on your ACT scores, gpa and the extra classes that are required but not necessary such as: a and p 1 and 2, micro, humanities, speech. 50 are accepted per semester. I just got my acceptance letter two weeks ago for the fall. I am so excited to finally get in. It doesnt seem fair that your schools go only by one test. Some people just dont test well. I wish you all the best of luck

Re: NLN Results....

Congrats on your acceptance me33!!

Our school goes by a points system too but it's a bit different from yours. They factor in the number of pre-nursing classes we have completed, the grades we got in those classes, and our nursing pre-entance exam (which as almost like an ACT). The only main difference is that we don't take Intro to Nursing until after we are accepted, an our school only takes 30 people each semester.

Re: NLN Results....

From what my friends say and from what I gathered from googling...a child weighs 50 Newtons. I'm so sure we'll all use that in the ER one day! Ha!

Re: NLN Results....

I am taking mine Sat too in NJ. I am nervous, but want it over with at this point. Reading this thread will give a lot of great tips so I would scan it before sat.

Main point...try and stay calm and keep moving. If you have no idea of the answer skip it and continue. Don't stay on any one question too long as time is a valuble commodity during this test.

Report in after you take it. I will too!!

Re: NLN Results....

I have a tip.

If you have to guess, pick one letter and stay with it.

I've heard by doing that you increase your chances of being right.

I did it....and I've done well so far!

Good Luck!
