Hey!
Did you say you're part of the kingwood college? That's part of the nhmccd college district right, now becoming known as the lone star college system? Well, I go there too! Except i've been primarily going to cy-fair and fairbanks center. I'm taking my classes at the fairbanks center now- biol 2401. I havn't thought about the hesi yet though. when I do apply I'm going to apply to the cy-fair nursing program, I know each campus' nursing program can be a little different, whether it is integrated or block. Anyway, I'm a total beginner too so I don't have much advice yet, but I just wanted to say hey cuz we're in each other's neck of the woods!

Oh, and I also know that any ymca offers cpr and first aid training. There's one lady, a pediatric nurse, that offers cpr training out of her house which I have done already. she's great and not that expensive, except its over on my side of town, northwest houston, hwy 6 and 290 area.

BE SURE about your CPR training. You need to contact your school because, some schools only take CPR training from specific courses. My school ONLY acknowledges CPR from American Heart Association and it HAS to be for medical professionals, not just a regular CPR class. SO make SURE with your school before you go spend 65 bucks and get a cert that is no good for you.
