Re: Microbiology—Spring 2008

We are in our second week of micro and already had two tests. First one I passed with an A and we took our second one today, hoping to get the grade tomorrow. I can't wait! Don't like waiting for grades *lol*. Our teacher is very stricked, he locks his doors, if you talk you are out. Actually I like it that way, no one bothering you during lecture, not interupting 'cause someone is late again. Love his way of teaching, never knew glycolysis can be understood this easy. Well, like he said teachers don't want to make it easy for us!!!

Starting viruses tomorrow...
Also next week I should find out if I got into the RN program or not.

Our lab final started Thursday and ended Friday. We had to do a simple stain, gram stain (E.coli and Strep), a strep test, and a Enterotube (E. coli). It was a stressful and long 2 days.

Nursing classes officially begin Monday and I CANNOT wait! It is going to be hard, 16 months, but I am ready for the challenge.

GOOD LUCK to each of you in Micro.

Re: Microbiology—Spring 2008

My first micro instructor was in her first year. She just begin teaching. She was previously employed as a microbiologist. She was terrible. I had a 3 hour lecture once a week and a 2 hour lab as well. All the A student were failing her class. The tests were horrid. I held a C but I dropped it. I couldn't go another 3 hour class because it was the most boring thing I have ever done in my life. I practically memorized each chapter and still couldn't get an A on the tests. I took it the next semester with another instructor and got a B.
