I am taking Med Term online this summer. Any thoughts as to what I will have to know. Also any study tips would be awesome too. Thanks alot !!

get familiar with latin roots "prefixes and such" prior to taking the class.

I took it online this spring. Open book everything...2 chapters a week. I didn't learn a THING but made an easy A. It felt like busy work...sort of a hassle. Hopefully some of it is hidden back there in my brain and will help for A&P but I doubt it.

I know I was looking at my textbook and I thought I should prob take A & P after this. I hope it isn't that intense ! I am taking Biomedical Ethics in the fall and I hope it isn't as boring as it sounds. Thank you..I hope it is an easy course. I need a break in the summer !! Plus, it will be my first total online course.

I just got done doing two quarters of Med Term courses all online. The best favor you can do for yourself is make flash cards. You can go back over them when studying for your exams and they'll also b handy for quick reference for later classes. Also, if your book happens to have a study disk with it, use that. Mine had a great one with all kinds of activities to help master the words and definitions.

I agree, flashcards are the way to go with this class. My textbook came with cards, but make your own if you get bogged down with certian terms.

I took this class 2 years ago and it was pure memorization. Get in that mode and you'll be fine.

I'm taking Med Term online this semester and love it. My teacher is GREAT! She's extremely organized and answers email promptly. If you have a good teacher it makes all the difference. We have tests every week that we take on the computer. To prepare I make virtual flashcards and put them on my PDA. I still study as much as I would for a regular class and we have a comprehensive (proctored) final. It depends on how well you learn, but I do better with online classes since I spend more time studying that attending class.

I took Med term online, I think a year ago. Theest advice I can give you is definitely make flashcards. I found index cards at Walmart that were spiral bound, (made it easy to keep up with them.) I would put the words into a spreadshet document & alphabatize them so that didn't have duplicate words. There will be multiple terms for some words so I would put them all on the same card & what they ment on the back. My flashcards went everywhere with me, doctor's appointments, ball ames, anywhere that I might have 5 or 10 minutes with nothing to do. Take them with oyu everywhere & flip through them whenever you get the chance.

I start Med Term online and have heard very good things about the class. I dont think of class can compare to A&P or Micro lol. Im not worried about it at all I dont think you should either. My A&P study group met in the lab almost daily for 2-6 hours each session lol I highly doubt we will have to do that for Med Term. If you are having problems post something or send me a message I will try my best to help you out or vice versa. Good luck to you and dont worry I'm sure you will do fine

I'm taking a break from classes for th summer and then starting A&P and whaeverelse I end up with to make full time status for my financial aid in the fall.
