My instructor in A&P II posted a male pregnancy link on Blackboard. I looked it up and got suspicious, did a little googling and found out that the website is a digital art project and is in fact fictitious. I pointed this out to him and he took out the post from BB. Now we are acting as if nothing happened.

What bothers me is that instructors who you pay and trust to give you the knowledge base you need are not taking steps to verify their information. This is the second semester that I feel like I'm being taught from wikipedia.
Maybe I need to find better teachers.

that does seem a little unprofessional...but if what they are teaching you about the core material is correct then you should be ok.....but, are you supose to google that too??? At my school there was only 1 anatomy teacher per semester and the class was hard to get into, filling up on the first day of registration...so we did not have this option, luckily my teacher had his PhD and 2 masters so he knew his stuff!!! Sorry for you, that must be frustrating!

I had an instructor once tell my class that blood is blue and only turns red in the presence of O2! Of course this was a repo class in 1990 and he was well over 65. I hate to say this because for the most part it is not fair to evryone...but.... it does make you believe the old saying, those who can do...those who cant teach

As long as the material is in the textbook, I'll leave it alone. At least I can point to something printed. Granting there are amazing true stories out in the internet, I guess, we just have to use our own judgement and evaluate information regardless of the source. Or, act like you believe the material for the semester to stay on instructor's good graces . Like what somebody has posted here---if your teacher says the sky is pink, then the sky shall be pink.
