Hi again !!!!

Hi Courtney! The entrance exam was 2 wks ago this past Tuesday. Rcvd my results yesterday w/ my interview date of April 5th. I PASSED w/ a composite score of 75 (which my pre-net course instructor said it's be like getting a 90 on a regular test. ) Who would have known ?????
Are u taking the Pre-net Course ? It helped, alot. I had the BEST instructor, she took my fear away abt the Math. Believe me, I was so intimidated by it, but, the way she patiently explained it made understanding it easy.
Instructor stressed to the class from day 1 that the Reading Comp. is more important than math because math is basically remembering then memorizing the steps to get the answer. With Reading Comp most teachers need to know that you're able to understand the main idea and the critical thinking part of the Reading section. Math started out w/ basic addition & subtraction, mult. & div., then adding, subtracting, dividing and multiplying fractions, percents & decimals. The last 8 or so were basic algebra.
The best thing you're doing is studying. Keep on reviewing. If you're truly scared and worried abt the math I'd suggest hiring a math tutor, if you're financially able to. You can keep on writing to me if you need to vent or if you have questions. I know how u feel, Courtney. When's your test ?
I'm starting nursing school in Sept, but, starting April 6 I'll be taking a Medical Terminology class once a week. Can't wait. I'm in my late 30's and NOW I'm hungry to learn. In high-school I really couldn't care that much. Education sort of tends to bite u in the butt , one way or another!
Ok then. Pls keep in touch. I'm sure you'll do great ! Keep studying !!!

Take care,
Lorenna.

I passed Net exam !!!

Hi everyone. Don't know if you all remember me, but, rcvd my results yesterday and I passed !!! Have my interview April 5th. Starting nursing school in sept. I'm also taking a Medical Terminolgy course once a week from April to June.
I really would not have passed w/o the help of my Pre-Net course instructor. She was absolutely one of the best, if not THE best teachers I've ever had.

Hope everyone's doing well. It's been quite a while since I popped my head in.

Pls keep in touch.

Bye !!!
