Letters of Reccomendation

When I go for the interview to get into the nursing program I have to have letters of recommendation. I have no idea who to get to write them. My current job has no idea I eventually will be leaving so I cannot get them to write one. Also I live 1300 miles away from all of my previous jobs that I had in the nursinf field. If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate them. Thanks

Re: Letters of Reccomendation

Maybe put in a call to a previous employer and have them fax or mail something for you?
Do they have to be from people you are not related to? Maybe a previous instructor or a public figure such as a minister? Or even a close friend that can speak to your character.

Re: Letters of Reccomendation

I had an instructor who I have had for 2 semesters complete my letter of recommendation. Mine was for a scholarship though.

Do they give specifics on who the letters have to be from?
