Well, I got my ACCEPTANCE LETTER the other day for my 2nd choice of school... and I'm super thrill about it, Starting this FALL...but what I really wanted was my first choice which was to get in the BSN program at Chico State... turns out I'm alternate #14 in that one... that's quite a long way... I don't think 13 people will be declined or refuse to accept their spots, right?

You're probably right. Thirteen people are a lot to decide on other plans. I would just operate on the thought that you're going to your second choice. Congratulations!!!

congrats!!!!! I would be thrilled to get into ANYWHERE at this point. Regardless of where you go the end result is that your on your way to become a nurse.

Hang in there--you might still get in! I will be declining my acceptance to my second choice school b/c I got in at my first... that may happen to many on the WL ahead of you (or life might get in the way, they might not get Fin aid, etc...)!! Keep all options open and think positively!!

The same thing happened to me, though I heard about my 2nd choice first before my 1st choice. I accepted my 2nd choice because, hey, I'm going to nursing school ! And if you get accepted into your 1st, all the better! Just tell the 2nd you're declining acceptance. You never know what is going to happen.

Good luck. Sorry you aren't in the regular acceptance. It could still happen. Remember, it isn't just that 13 people might not accept. There are lots of reasons - they might not qualify, might not get their transcripts in, might not have completed their last one or two prereqs, might not pass the background or drug check, or have major changes in their life. I am not sure about Chico, but I know Sac state has their stats online that show how many people decline.

I got in to the ADN program at Yuba College... I was really hoping to get in a BSN program instead... so I'm really hoping people bail out! In the meantime, I've accepted my spot at Yuba already.. I guess all that matters is that I've been accepted somewhere.
