Re: How many students did your nursing program accept for your class?

Here in the Sacramento area there are a few programs.
American River College takes up to 60 with 800 applicants
Sacramento City College takes 30 with 700 applicants
Sierra College takes 30 with 500 applicants
All of these are ADN programs that are Lotto.

Sacramento State takes about 70 with 500 applicants for the BSN program
This is on a points based system

... Can you tell why I have applied now for 4 semesters and still have not been accepted!
Stiff competition!

Re: How many students did your nursing program accept for your class?

I am the last class to be in the program that is 6 semesters which students were only selected in the spring and started in the fall (the classes below us changed to 5 semesters and accpt students in the fall and spring) and we started with 44 students (down to 22 but not because of failing...one girl's husband got transfered for work, another girl got pregnant and took time off, and one guy decited that nursing was not for him--and we gained a girl last semester that took time off from the class above us to get mroe expereince...ie work as a CNA) the classes below us accept 30 students per class.

Re: How many students did your nursing program accept for your class?

At the school that I applied to around 900 apply for 150 spots. They only take students for the RN during the fall and the LNP in the fall and the spring. LNP takes 24 each time fore around 450 applications.

Praying to be in either group. I can always bridge later if I decide to.

Between 72-81 per year, based on budgetary factors. Admission is based on a points system. There are about 400 applicants per year.

Re: How many students did your nursing program accept for your class?

36 for the summer (which includes me, yay!), 60 for the fall. Over 800 people applied for those two semesters.

I think it's also 60 for the spring, but I'm not sure on that number.

I just got an acceptance letter this week...
There were about 500-600 applications and 110 seats available for the year.

I think 100+ per semester, maybe a tad less students start in the spring.
