Re: How many students did your nursing program accept for your class?

Clayton State University in suburban Atlanta admitted 45 from 250 applicants. And they wonder why there is a shortage.

My ADN program accepts 50 people every fall, out of roughly 300-400.

Re: How many students did your nursing program accept for your class?

The community college Im at now excepts about 60 each fall, out of the 200-300 applicants for their LPN program.

Allen College is where I'll be going when I finish my pre reqs, and they only except 45 a semester. These numbers seem pretty typical for schools in smaller communities and the competition kinda sucks, but if there wasnt a shortage or a need for nurses then we wouldnt have so much to look foward too. The double edged sword.. ha!

Re: How many students did your nursing program accept for your class?

UT Houston had around 1300 total applicants and 40 were accepted for the accelerated BSN program and 160 (I think) for the traditional BSN program.

Re: How many students did your nursing program accept for your class?

My particular community college in Metro Detroit accepted 120 out of 750 applicants for fall 2008. We have four start dates with 30 students beginning every 8 weeks.

Re: How many students did your nursing program accept for your class?

I am a 53 year old displaced worker from a foctory(FOR 28 YEARS) and also a CNA who is finally getting a chance to go back to school to become a LPN. At our college here in Heber Springs,AR , ASU,they opened up a brand new class for 20 students ( I think around 150 applied) and I got aceepted. To anyone thinking on going onto nursing, getting your CNA license first is a must.
