Norhtwest in Senatobia, Ms accepts 70 per class, 1 in spring & 1 in fall. There are like 300 or so that apply each time. You have to have a certain score on your ACT, NET & a GPA for at least 2.5 I think.

Re: How many students did your nursing program accept for your class?

my school selects 20 twice a year for the LPN program. This fall my school will do it's first ever ASN class. They are accepting only 20. My school's region only had ASN classes at the bigger campus in Kokomo, but they only accept 20 twice a year as well. We are breaking ground for a new campus, so this is the only ASN class at this campus for at least 2 years. Then they are planning on getting a traditional ASN class up and running on the same schedule as the LPN.

They accept 30 once a year, every fall - this is at a community college.

Re: How many students did your nursing program accept for your class?

They shoot for a class of 32 per year (accelerated 2nd BSN), so they accept a few more than that, figuring not all will come. I heard that backfired on them last year, and they ended up with a class of 40!!

yes modelmama, uams is a big school!! i'm really nervous b/c the nursing program starts in the summer only and it is supposedly the time when they weed out all the "bad eggs" i guess you could say...i've heard that they don't know exactly where they are going to put all 200 of us...this should be interesting!!!
