I was just wondering how many of you failed you lpn pre-entrance exam the first time but passed the second time? And if you didn't pass the first or second time exactly how many times did it take you I'm just curious?

I took the test twice. I hope that by the time I need to take the RN exam I will pass the first time. Good luck all! The following attachment is a picture of my three kids, they are my inspiration and my husband, to achieve in nursing school.

Hi, I am new to this website and will take the nln exam soon in March. Does the nursing guide by Mary Mcdonald really helps or is it totally different? Can you tell me more about it? Thanks

I thought that the math section was really good in that book. Just keep going over the practice tests, there were a bunch of questions that seemed to be identical to that in the practice tests. The biggest issue I had with the math section is that you have to be quick, I am pretty good in math and usually really quick and I had a point where I panicked and had to start rushing a bit, so make sure you keep track of your time when you are taking that part especially. The science section in the book didn't seem like it was nearly enough of a review for the test, there was a lot of physics on my test. Some of the science did apply, but I ended up trying to refresh in physics and chemistry online and in books. The verbal was helpful to get prepared for the format, but only a few of the actual vocab words were on the test, so it is kind of hard to study for that portion. I would just suggest looking up every word you don't know that you come across from now until your test date and study the root words lists, prefix lists, etc. so that you might be able to figure out the word even if you don't know it. And don't go too crazy, I started getting crazy trying to study everything I could and then I just realized that it wasn't going to help to try to cover everything. Stay positive and don't stress too much about it. Good luck!

Is the NET test the same as the compass test?

i had to take the hesi, and they said we were only allowed to take it twice, then I guess you are no longer considered.
