Hello all,
I've been on a waiting list for over a year now and have been increasingly frustrated with the waiting part. I found a school that looks very nice, is accredited, and is a fairly new school so there is no waiting list. They accept students several times per year. I was wondering if anyone out there has heard anything about this school... Galen College of Nursing. If anyone knows how well they prepare their students, how the students are coming into clinicals, how they are after graduation, etc. it would be extremely helpful. It's a private school, so I don't want to shell out the big bucks if I'd be wasting my time. Thank you so much!!!

I attended Galen and they have alot of growing i was in the second class that started Jan 28 and I dropped it today A &P structor is not doing a good jod over half the students have dropped a&p you have to study 4-5 chap for lecture exam review sheets come 3 day before exam it was a 21 month program now there changing it to a 24 month program but there are not making accomadation for the student that there now it is very expensive i got the most in fincial aid and i still had to pay between 400-787 per month. I was not getting what i needed books are not included in tution I bought my books now they are changing the book list I cant afford to buy new book over and over again because they dont know what there doing. My advise find another school.

They are not accredited yet that wont happen till the first class graduate .

Thanks for your info... I was just accepted to Christ Hospital's College of Nursing, so I will be attending that school this August. Sounds like I shouldn't have gone with Galen anyway! Best of luck to you though. Are you trying to find another school?
