Guaranteed Admissions or GPA based admissions??

Does anyone know any schools that guarantee admission? I know that Samuel Merrit Does through some other private schools, but their tuition is ridiculous!! Or schools (preferably community colleges) that base admissions solely on GPA and not lottery?

Right now I have a 4.0, but with all these stories about multiple applications with high GPA's and not getting in, I'm really getting discouraged.

btw, I live in California =)

I don't know where in Ca you are.

I got into my first Choice Mt San Jacinto. They go only on GPA of your pre requisites, you pretty much need the 4.0 to get accepted though as they only take 10 in the fall and 20 in the spring (they take 2 lottery picks in the fall and 4 in spring as well).

Anyway they are in Southern California. Do search there are others I am sure.

Re: Guaranteed Admissions or GPA based admissions??

To me, guaranteed admissions is a fine process as long as there is a minimum standard that the students have to meet to go along with this. It would not be fair or wise to allow below standards people into a program. That would take a lot of strain off students who are struggling to get into nursing school, no matter what the admissions process is. We can't all be perfect or lucky.

University of the Virgin Islands. You have to have a 2.0 gpa, a C in the science pre-requisites, and A- in Drug Dosage Calculation.

Too bad I couldn't have gone to that school. Now that's what I call addressing the nursing shortage.

csula has no waitlist or lottery. they go by points which include gpa, work experience/volunteer work, TEAS( I think thats what its called), some other stuff I dont remember. I got in with a 3.7, was in the 87% of my class TEAS (entrance exam), and 2 years exp as a nurse assistant.
