Question getting very nervous!!!!!!!!

I have my interview for a nursing diploma on thursday and i am too nervous, i'm usually a confident person but when it comes to interviews i'm a bit of a wreck and tend to shake a lot . Does anyone have any tips on how to keep calm on the day ? Also can anyone give me an idea of the kind of questions they are likely to ask?

Thumbs up Good luck with nursing school!

Hi Floe

Welcome! The best way to get over the jitters when you are anxious about starting nursing school is to always imagine yourself as a "real nurse" Close your eyes, and daydream about working as a nurse already. Think of going to school as if you are going to give or receive report on a patient. You gather the data about how to care for patients, and you apply that data in the continued care of the patient.

When it comes time for taking exams, view those exams as patient reports and how best to care for those patients. Good thing about taking this approach, you get a few years to "practice" with the "patients" you learn about before you actually get to apply what you learn.

It really works! I know! I'm now that nurse.
