Re: Food And Nutrition Spring 2007

She just posted our syllabus - our whole grade is three equally weighted tests. No assignments, no extra credit, no quizzes, no possible way to bring your grade up if you make a couple mistakes or study wrong for the first test. I'm taking it with A&P II, so hopefully we'll do digestion early in that class and I'll have a better base. Then Eng Comp II and my 30 hr/wk job. This'll be a fun semester.

I'm hoping it isn't too bad; I'm also taking A&P II, Micro and English Comp.

It seems a lot of work!!! I am planning (not decided yet) to take nutrition I, AP II, Microbiology, and sociology... do you think its a little bit too much? i am debating ><

Re: Food And Nutrition Spring 2007

Count me in. I have my first class in Nutrition on Tuesday. I plan to read at least the first chapter because this instructor doesn't suffer fools gladly. Yikes!

Re: Food And Nutrition Spring 2007

My grade posted, I got an A!!!! I want to wish ALL of you lots of luck this semester. The nutrition course I took was hard but very rewarding since I had to learn a lot of information in a short amount of time and it was great review of A&P II!!! Now I get a one week vacation before school starts!

MBA2BRN- Congrats on your A! Good job and enjoy your week off! That is the frosting on the cake, is getting a week!

Question to others in nutrition- about to go to class in a few minutes but I printed the syllabus- does anyone else have to go on "fieldtrips"? We have to go to the gym, jazzercise, and yoga during class. Anyone else?

I just took this class and I got a "B". It was an extremely interesting course with lots of great information. One word of advice is to read your chapters ahead of time and do your projects flawlessly .

Each class will be different cause instructors expect different things. You will learn a lot. I hope you like it as much as I did. It isnt hard to spend time studying something you are interested in. There is some chemistry, but it doesnt go deep. Mainly you will study the digestive system and how proteins, fats, carbs, vitamins and minerals are digested and absorbed into the body. It isnt the easy class some think it is, but it is interesting.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
