Question Direct Entry Programs

Hi Everyone,

I hope I'm posting this in the right place.

I'm new here...just wondering if anyone has applied to Simmons College Direct Entry Nursing program for 2007. I am hopeful but realistic about my chances. I have completed most of the pre-requisites with good grades (except chemistry, which I got C's in), but my undergraduate gpa was less than stellar. However, I did well on the GRE and I believe I have good recommendations. Just wondering if anyone else here is confronted with a similar situation, and if anyone has an idea what my chances are. It's hard to tell from the school profile that's online.

I suppose a lot depends on how many others have applied. I have no sense of the number of applications they get. Anyone know?

I am applying to other schools in the Boston area, so hopefully something will work out. Then all I need to worry about is how to pay for it!

Re: Direct Entry Programs

You may want to check the graduate student forum. I remember a few threads where there were a lot of direct-entry applicants, many of them in the Boston area. Here are a couple.

Hope this helps!

You might also consider looking in the Massachusetts Forum. Good luck!

Re: Direct Entry Programs

karlynn,

I applied to the direct entry programs at Simmons, BC, UMASS, Northeastern, and MGH. Waiting is the worst!!!!!! Is Simmons your first choice?
