OK, so I just called CSUN, and asked when interview notifications would be sent. The woman I spoke with said EARLY APRIL! That's a long time from now, but I guess since the apps weren't due until Feb, I shouldn't be surprised.
Thanks for checking on that, EARLY APRIL! I was so hoping to get something, anything in the mail any day now from them!!! Did you speak to someone in the actual program or just health sciences dept? I hope they are just saying that to play it safe. If they don't start interviews until mid April that will really be cutting it close considering the Summer admits would start mid June (I think?) I applied for Fall so I may even be in the later wave of notifications since I would assume they will work on Summer first. That it a big bummer since I would like to know as soon as possible, oh well, let's keep each other informed if anyone hears anything. Did you all apply to Summer, Fall, or both? How do you think they will notify us by mail, phone, email? They asked us to include a self addressed envelope with the packet so I assume that will be used for the notification right?
Hope271, my thoughts exactly! I called the health sciences dept (I couldn't find a direct number to nursing) and said I had applied to the ABSN program...blah blah blah...when will we hear about interviews? That's when she said early April. She sounded like she had been answering phones nonstop all day, so it might be good to call back when things die down.
Does anyone know if we needed the TEAS for CSUN? A nursing applicant in one of my pre-reqs said we did because her friend had applied, but they only tell you to send in TEAS scores if you talk to CSUN advisors. Maybe her circumstances were unique or the message just got garbled. It's not on the website or listed as any of their requirements, and the concept of secret requirements sounds kind of unlikely. Has anyone heard anything like that?
I attended an informational session there in August and they didn't mention anything about the TEAS, and your right it is not anywhere in the paperwork so if it were a requirement it would have been in our packet.
I also applied to CSUN...for the fall of 2008. I was hoping to hear something soon...but I guess we will have to wait.
I am so glad there are other people out there to talk to about the admission process.
Question- you know how we had to apply twice...once to the CSUN graduate program and once to the actual nursing program. Did everyone get accepted to CSUN, or are some of you still waiting to get accepted. I'm not talking about the actual nursing program, just the CSUN graduate program.
