Hello, I don't post here very often, but I log on and read a lot. I am currently debating changing majors, and in need of some guidance from people who know what this field involves.

Nursing is the only thing I have ever wanted to do, but I ~really~ don't know if I can do this. It is not the academics (currently holding a 4.0) nor the patient involvement. I know they say that you are either cut out for nursing, or your not; but I took that more to relate to either the academics or the actual care of patients.....not the highschool games you have to deal with along the way. Maybe it's my age (I am 29)...I try the best I can to fly under the radar, and did pretty well until I ratted out a fellow student for drinking in the parking lot before going into clinicals for our CNA class....long story there, but let me tell ya, sadly, I will think long and hard again before I rat someone out again...even if I know it is the right thing to do. The teacher told the girl I was the one that tell and boy if crap didn't hit the fan from there!


Anyways, what I am getting at is can someone be too personal for this job?!? I take things to heart, and when I try to do the right thing and it only comes around to bite me in my rear, it hurts. Do you have any clue what it feels like to having to keep going to class after all of this?!? Then to have the teacher say (in front of the class mind you!) that I (me!?!? *** did I do?!?) stirred a lot of trouble for her. Umm, okay. (see why I will think before telling again?) If school is like this, what the heck is the real world going to bring?!? (FTR, I have had wonderful experiences with ALL of my other instructors...its just that one in the nursing dept. that I seemed to have been an inconvienence to. BTW, the girl I ratted out didn't get booted from the class...just got talked to.
