Chemistry Grades

I was wondering what everyone's chemistry grades were if you completed prior to applying? I was holding steady at a B but tonight I bombed my exam and I'd have to get a 90 on my final to get my B back. I'm holding on to hope but doubtful....

Re: Chemistry Grades

I took chemistry over a winter intersession (my only class). I pulled an A, but it was REALLY hard for me, and I hated the subject matter. My husband is a chemist, and all I could think was "I can't believe he made this his major".

Re: Chemistry Grades

I still have one big test and the final left to complete in my chem class. Right now I have an "A" but I feel like I am reaching the point where my brain is too full. lol I never thought I would say it, but I will be happy to pass this class even if it is with a lower grade. This has not been an easy class for me.

Get a tutor! Talk with the teacher and do whatever it takes to get that B back! You need every edge you can get!

I know you can do it!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Chemistry Grades

I am taking Organic Chemistry this semester as well as Micro and two other GE classes and it is KILLING me. Get some help from your classmates and your professor to clarify anything that may be unclear and just study your butt off for the next test, or you might regret it! If it helps make you feel better, my mom is a chemist and does not help me out at all! But just keep your head up and work hard. I know/know of people who are much smarter than me that are in NS right now or have higher degrees who even said that they struggled with the course. Good luck! I am trying to pull a B in Chem, too!

Re: Chemistry Grades

I only have 2 classes left to take, I am signed up for Advanced Physio this summer and thought about adding Chem 101. The AP is 10 weeks, in class...the Chem 101 is online and it is only 8 weeks. I have done well with other online classes and I have A's in ANP 1 & 2, so i'm not too worried about AP. Not sure about chem, because I have little to no interest in the subject matter. Anywho...I know this sounds bad, but I'll be shootin' for a solid C (since it is an 8 week course, I'm not going to kid myself)

Do you think this is doable???
(also...has anyone taken this 8 wk chem online for ivy tech?)

Re: Chemistry Grades

Our schools around here will not accept online chemistry classes unless the lab portion is in person
