Question Anyone working full-time and going to school?

How many work full time jobs and go to school, do you go full-time or part-time?
I have to work full-time, and Im considering doing LPN school full-time because it is only a one year program. Just wondering how your schedule is.
I am currently working 2 jobs, 1 full-time and one part-time. But my in laws are going to live with us so I can quit the 2nd job and go to school, and we can split the bills in half. Seems like a good solution for us.
I know I'll even be able to study at my full-time job during down time (which is usally alot of downtime). So that is a great plus too!

Re: Anyone working full-time and going to school?

I too work full time. I usually only take 1 class per semester b/c working, school, and raising kids leave me very little time left. I'll have all my pre-reqs done after the fall semester, so i will try Eng Comp II online in the Sp 09 (while i wait to see if i'm accepted for the fall 09 class) and see if it lightens my load!

Re: Anyone working full-time and going to school?

Thats probably what my schedule will look like. Doyou all work in the evenings or mornings. Im still contemplating on what I should do. Im currently on day shift, and thinking that going to evening/nite might be better as I can still get some studying in here at work.

I works daze (HA!) and go to class at night. Since I work for an Oral surgeon, and we only work days, I will have to have a evening program once i start nursing school.

Same here.
I work fulltime (8-5 M-F) and usually take 1 class a semester (2 nights a week usually from 6pm-9:30pm). In between work and school - I have to squeeze in playtime with my 9 & 2 year old, playtime with dear ole hubby, study and be the maid, cook, tutor, chauffeur, hostess, friend, and whatever else job to be done.
I dont know how they will survive without me when I'm actually in NS fulltime.

Re: Anyone working full-time and going to school?

I work full-time days and go to school at night. I don't have time for more with two small children at home and everything else. This summer will be a test I have a summer A & P I class M thru Th right after work till 9:30. Hopefully, It will give us a taste of what nursing school will have in store for us since I can do less hours and I need to work. Good Luck to everyone else balancing everything as well!

Re: Anyone working full-time and going to school?

I work full-time (days) and take two classes/semester. I try to have one of those classes be online. It's hard with working, school, and four kids. But it can be done - you just need to be determined!
