I actually did not apply to CSUS for fall 08 however I do know that they have a matrix on the nursing website that will show you how many points they give for the gpa and the teas score. It also tells you what the cut off for the points are. I think last semester it was like 73 pts and above they accepted.
The lowest gpa was 3.4 and the lowest teas was like 84. You still may have a really good chance of getting in with your GPA being 3.9. Did you qualify for any additional points like previous medical experience or language? Those will really help you!
Good luck! I am really crossing my fingers for you! I would think that they would be sending out the letters any time from now to the end if May but then again I couldn't say for sure since I am not the one calling the shots

I hope you don't mind me asking, but where did you do your volunteering? I've just got a few pre-reqs left and would like to contact a place that qualifies for CSUS's volunteer experience points.

Thanks and Good Luck! I'll be crossing my fingers for you too. I have a friend in the CSUS program right now. It sounds like you have a good chance of getting in.

I volunteerd at the Veterans Home, it is a long term care facility for veterans. As long as you are around RN's and whitnessing them at work, it is considered good experience. Keep a log of your hours and have them signed off each day, at the end have your "supervisor" write you a letter explaining what you did/observed...and start volunteering now! I got my denial letter today, but I figured that was coming. I am 56 on the alternate list! Thats crazy....

Cali, I'm sorry you didn't make it in this time. Try taking the TEAS again. You've got a great GPA, if you can boost your TEAS score a bit you'll probably get in next time around.

I got my acceptance letter to Sac State today!!!

Woo Hoo!!!

Wooohoo is right! Yeah for you. Nice that you got a little early surprise and didn't have to wait until mid-May. I know someone else who is waiting on Sac, I hope she gets her letter today. Was it email or snail mail?

I feel like I am the last person in the world that is going to hear (I didn't apply to CSUS, but am waiting on another school) t seems like the more other people find out, the more tense I become. I expected word last week.

Who aid they felt like they were waiting on a jury verdict? That sums it up!!

Congrats!
