He probably wants to run away when he hears the words "nurse" or "school" in the same sentence.

That said, I really DO hope I get into the LPN program for Spring 07. It wold make such a difference to my family if I could get my LPN by first. I would graduate in Dec '07 and then gain automatic entry to the RN portion of the program and finish that in another year as long as I kept my grades up while I was in LPN school. I really don't want to have to not work for 2 full years or wait to start until Fall '07.

Sigh, what I really wish for deep down is to go to NYU for the 15 month 2nd degree BSN. DH and the rest of the family are all against it because of the
additional 60k in loans I would have to take out. If I had that money that is what I would really rather do.
I was just accepted into the spring 07 LPN program. This is the second post I've read that mention a LPN program that allows automatic entry into the RN program. Is this a community college? Did you have to take any prerequisite? This program finishes DEC '07

GOOD LUCK

Re: Anyone afraid of not getting in?

I have a slight panic attack every day from fear of not getting in. I am working on my pre reqs and will apply in the spring for Fall 2007. I'm not a young chicken and feel time is not on my side. I could apply to other schools but would have to take a semester of their pre reqs because not all schools have the same pre reqs. I'm working on a plan B, C and D if I don't get in this Fall. If I have to work at my current job for much longer there's no telling what I will do.

I am so jealous of all you people who can apply in your last semester of pre reqs I cant apply until they are finished basicly sitting around for a whole semester doing nothing until I can apply.

Re: Anyone afraid of not getting in?

I'm terrified, its so bad I don't sleep. I have to take the NLN in feb and I am so afraid I'll flunk it even though Ive been studying for it for the past 2 months. I only applied to one school, Ive already submitted my application and all my documents even though the deadline isn't until April 1st. I guess its just I haven't wanted anything so bad in such a long time, Im just worried its going to blow up in my face. Its nice to know Im not the only one that is scared.
