I am hoping to start the survey class in the spring 08, is anybody else?

In 2005 I was accepted in the LVN to BSN program at Tarleton on a conditional basis of passing algebra. But I failed college algebra by 1 or two points and I was booted from the program ( I have since then have passed the class).....This survey thing is new and I cant figure it out. Do you apply to the survey class, is it a first come first serve class. I thought about applying to the program and doing the generic BSN program cause it is the same length basically as the transition program . But to me it seems like they baby the generic students for example this survey class...in the transition program you don't have all that mess to do. But I am still trying to decide whether to do a traditional based program or go through EC...If you have any information on the survey class please post it ..

You have to fill out an interest to survey form?? Stupid I think because you are not actually going into the nursing program just the survey course before yu are excepted. You have to compete for a spot in this course. Then once you are in the course and have all the prereq's then you basically get into the nursing program. That is all i know! But there is info on the website of TSU nursing.

I don't know much about Tarleton's nursing program, but I wish you a lot of luck. I like Tarleton. I used to live in Stephenville. I took the Education classes for my teacher certification at Tarleton, and I did all of my graduate work in Education there. I no longer live in Stephenville, but if I did, I wouldn't hesitate to go through their nursing program. It's a good school. I think they had a few problems with the program earlier on, but they have worked hard to make some positive changes. I think going to nursing school there would be great except for maybe the possibility of having clinicals at Harris Methodist Hospital there in Stephenville. Anyway, I hope you like it and have a great experience there. Good luck!!

how is Stephenville area? I live in houston right now and i know the town is close to Fort Worth, but is it like a typical town everybody stereotypes? I am not spoiled or whatever, but I need to ask this. I really love coffee and nice little cafes to study or just chill out.Is there any nice sitting and relaxing coffee shop? any comment would help me out just to figure out thanx

Well...you're in luck! There's only one Starbucks in Stephenville! According to Google Maps, the distance between the nursing school and Starbucks is 1.6 mi – about 5 mins. Not bad, eh?

i got into the survey program @ Tarleton!!! it's sad that i am leaving houston!!! I really don't wanna leave houston!!! but maybe i am going to study really hard and transfer back to houston or something!!!!
