I got A's in both courses, however it wasn't the core of the course for me ... it was used as a learning tool. I still had additional assignments and class instruction ... Aleks was sort of like a study tool to re-inenforce what we were learning. We weren't graded on Aleks alone, although the progress we made in Aleks (monitored by the Instructor via pie charts that aleks generated as you progress through the program) was taken into account for the final grade. We did have a final exam outside of Aleks.

I took a prelim assessment in Aleks and then Aleks presented me with programs in the areas that I needed to improve upon. It would teach and then test to verify that I comprehended.

Like I said, Aleks wasn't the whole class for me, it was more of a learning tool to complement what was being taught. Hope this helps.
