Hey, I'm in!! A regular sized envelope arrived in today's mail (so don't worry about not getting a large envelope). I can hardly wait to get started. A bit of panic is also setting in---can my husband and I handle the financial strains, will I be up to the "kick butt" program as Jorge put it in our orientation? But mostly I'm just so happy and relieved. I'm crossing my fingers for all of you.

Congratulations!! Friday the 13th is now your *lucky* day! I did not get anything, so I am going to take that as an indication that this might not be my turn. I'm sure you're filled with all those change jitters... remember why you're doing this, and you'll be great! Keep us posted about the program for those of us who decide to reapply for next year. I wouldn't attach much significance to my getting it earlier. For one thing, they knew I needed the letter soon for a finance program at my work (that fell through). But also, it just seems they had a lot of trouble getting through the review process on the applications. Keep your hopes up.

I got my letter as well, and I got in too! I really want to go, but I have to consider which is a better program (Western vs. CSUDH). I have no idea who to ask for advice, if you guys know please tell.. But yay! Friday the 13th is lucky!

Hi everyone,
I got my letter today too!!!! I am on cloud nine, I am so happy!!! I got nervous when I saw the thin envelope but long and behold it was an acceptance. I was still expecting it to take longer for some reason, until next week, but I am so glad it was sooner rather than later. Now, I can start my planning, it feels so good to get the ball rolling after being at a standstill for such a long time.

Congrats to all of you! I'll let you know if I do get in. Seems doubtful considering that you all got acceptance letters today, and I'm also in LA. I have a few outstanding prereqs I'm taking this summer, and once I complete them, I think I'll be a stronger candidate for the next application cycle. I'd love your feedback on the program. Since I have a small child, I'll look to you veterans for guidance! And good luck! It's so exciting.

Don't jump to conclusions just yet! First off, I doubt the school would send acceptance letters separate from rejections. I feel I may have gotten mine first because I was in the very first cycle (i turned in my portfolio in on August 07 and interviewed last Sept!) Also, the letter states that it is a conditional acceptance, the university has to accept you too to get the seal. On top of that, even if you don't get an acceptance, you have a chance as an alternate.. the program is expecting some of the first choices not to accept a seat, therefore will offer it to the next qualified appliicant. so keep your head high and just hold your breath for another day or two!

Thanks for the encouragement. Nothing today, either. It's okay, really... it felt like a long-shot since I had 3 outstanding prereqs. I was encouraged by having As in everything I had done to date and volunteer experience, but hearing about your acceptances has lit a fire under me to finish the final prereqs well and continue with more volunteer opportunities. The process continues........ but the disappointment of not getting accepted only encourages me more, which is a great sign that I'm on track.

I really do want to keep in touch with you all to hear about your experiences. I know you'll be busy, but hopefully your experiences can mentor me so that I can eventually join you! I am so excited for all of you and hope that I can hear more!

that's the spirit! i can empathize with your situation because it took 2 years for me to even qualify for these acc-msn programs. but it is true, "nothing in the world worth having ever comes easy."
