Catzy5, don't feel bad either - I sent mine in a bit before the deadline too. I've done the same thing, thought that well, maybe I did well enough that they'll send mine early! I know logically that won't happen, but hey, I can dream! Maybe I should just direct all this nervous energy to something more productive, like the classes I'm taking now!
Good luck!

I know that's so funny I say the samething, having a hard time concentrating on one class. However, its not one I am enjoying (communications) would much rather be taking math or science hehehe.
My friend is putting her energy into redecorating her house, she just put in new floors and painted we were laughing that she needed to do something with the nervous energy before school started in January or she would go nuts worring about it.

Me three!!! I'm taking Organic chemistry now just in case I don't get into the school I really want to go to. I have the HARDEST time getting any studying done for that class because I'm constantly checking my email or chasing down the postlady. (I think she thinks I'm pretty crazy at this point.) I heard yesterday that decisions will be out in the next two weeks...
THe other three schools I've applied won't tell me anything until November. Arrrggg.

I just got accepted for the Fall of 2008. i sent my app in early (over the summer) and the admissions lady told me to get it done as early as possible so can be one of the first apps looked at when school starts.. I did and i got in 3 weeks ago.. i am so excited. i knew i was over the minimal criteria but when over 400 apps come in for a 50 spot program.. you can never be to sure.. I mean i know someone who applied to this program with a 3.79 GPA and a 95% on the net... you just never know what they are looking for at that time...
Still i guess they were looking for me!!!! good luck to all of you.. i was there recently i feel your pain

I thought the same thing, that if I sent my application in early, they would look at it first. Then my bubble was burst when my Pharm teacher told me that they don't even start going through the applications until after the deadline because they get 90% of them at the last minute!
So, I'm reorganizing my house, sewing Halloween costumes, and breaking in my new NurseMates in order to NOT go crazy!
One good thing is that everyone keeps assuring me that I will get in. My school goes on a point system, with a maximum of 36 pts possible. I have 33 pts as of right now (got shorted a point for a supporting class in progress), but I'm still nervous! My hubby and family are so tired of hearing me stress (as I'm counting down the days walking around the house) but I NEED TO KNOW FOR SURE!!
Good luck to all of us who are waiting!
I'm no longer sweating bullets, I've moved on to full blown rifles....

Not sure if you intended that to be funny, but it made me laugh!

Did you get a copy of your schools point system sheet? Can you get a copy of it online? Just curious because I'd like to get a copy of my schools sheet so I could evaluate myself and see if I have a chance of getting in. Thanks

Wow! I didn't know the competition to get into the nursing program is this crazy all over U.S. I thought i'm the only one stressing and sweating bullets for the long awaited letter of acceptance or....denial .
I also apply for 2008 spring semester and I bugged the school so much by phone and email that i'm afraid they'll thow my applications away!! well.. they did lost my application once, and that got me nervous.
This will be my third time to apply. I got denied first time, put in alternate second time, and i'm hoping i'm in this time.
Best of luck to all!! and congrats to those who got accepted.
