Even with a 4.0...good gravy...that's unbelievable!
My overall GPA is roughly 3.4, too. My GPA for the pre-reqs that are counted at the LPN-RN program I applied for is 3.66. Yeah, I probably should've worked harder in some classes--and turned in my homework more consistently in some. Oh well, to be dumb and 18 again.

Ok, I am number 2 on the alternate list at Humboldt State University. I have a 3.9 pre-req GPA, 3.8 general GPA, and 84 on TEAS. Now all I have to do is wait and hope that someone gets into a different school so I can have their seat!

Oh boy, where do I start. This afternoon I received a call from the Nursing department. They wanted to set up a meeting between me and four members of a committee from the Dept of Nursing. I was told I will be asked some questions and will be given an opprotunity to ask some of my own. Well, here it is, an actual interveiw. For some reason I'm not very nervous. I guess I'm still in shock. My interview is this evening. I was too done when I got the call. So, hopefully, I'll have good news to share. I can't sleep at all. I am so excited!

I would be sooo nervous. My school used to do interviews, and stopped the semester before I applied "Thank god". After all the stress of the GPA, entrance exam, and waiting an interview would make my head explode.
Good luck...can't wait to hear the great news!!!!!

Hey guys. OK, my interveiw went well. I sat across from three people. The director of the program, etc... I liked the fact that they asked about me and what my interest in nursing was. Also, they told me alot more about the program. They where really nice and laid back, which put me at easy right away. Thank God,I was so nervous. Anyway, we talked for about an hour. They thanked me for coming in and said that I would be hearing from them soon. I was hoping I'd leave the meeting knowing if I was in. But, I'll have to wait a little longer to find out. The funny thing is, having the interview has helped me to calm down. I mean, of course I'm still dying to get in. But, after meeting with them and being given the opportunity to try and sell myself, I truely feel as though I've done all I can. I love what I heard, love the school, I feel like they would give me a top quality education. I guess at this point, I've done all I can do. I feel blessed that I was at least given the chace to present myself face to face. A lot of people don't get that chance. So, I feel real greatful. I'll see what happens......... The plot thickens. LOL
