Re: For all of us who are sweating bullets waiting on acceptance/rejection letters...

tullosrn2010 i completley understand how you feel. I was the same way b4 i got my letter. Even now it's been a week or so... and i feel like it was to good to be true. like i am going to go to the mailbox and get my "real" letter saying sorry you did'nt make it....lol. Out of habbit now I am always listening for the mail truck to come.

I felt the same way cause i only have 2 classes left as well, and i have to be full time also.

good luck to you! i will keep my fingers crossed

Re: For all of us who are sweating bullets waiting on acceptance/rejection letters...

Well, I am pulling my hair out now. Last wednesday they had "the meeting" to finalize who was accepted. The lady in charge of notifying us told us we would have our letters this past Saturday. It seemed to take forever to get here and then....No letter......I called this morning and she said, "oh yeah, I didn't get those out and it will be today". She is trying to give me an ulcer. Just venting....

Hang in there. I know exactly how you feel though, I was literally a basket-case until I got my letter. I couldn't concentrate to save my life. There's nothing to make the waiting any easier, but at least take comfort in the fact that the letter is on it's way. Good Luck!

OMG!!!! the letters went out yesterday. I am so nervous I can hardly contain myself. I feel like crying, after finishing all the pre-req's and doing the jumps through the hoops of admissions, waiting these last few hours is harder than anything I have went through so far. Thanks for listening to me vent. I can't take it much longer.

Oh Sissy, the wait is really on for you. Are you sitting on the porch waiting for the mail? I think the wait gets harder the closer you get. It is amazing how much emotion gets poured into all of this. I remember sitting at the computer working on my application to a BSN program and bawling. I didn't even know why I was crying. I had already applied to a couple CCs by that point and was on waitlists, but for some reason, the BSN app met with a deluge of tears and emotion. Perhaps because I felt how far I had come and knew I wasn't even half-way there. In any case, that was over 6 months ago and I am still waiting and anticipate another episode of bawling - if I get in or if I don't. Either way, I better have some Kleenex handy.

Good luck. Remember to breathe! You are almost there.

I know how that feels, I start to get teary when I fill out my applications too. The fact that I have applied 4 semesters now makes it harder each time!

Re: For all of us who are sweating bullets waiting on acceptance/rejection letters...

This is pure torture! I finally found out about one school (I got in, thank god, after 15 months of trying) but my first choice school is TORTURING ME!!!!!!!!!!. They keep telling me to call back in a "couple of days" to see if they have made a decision. Do they realize they are dangling my future in front of my face!! Worse yet, I hear other people have gotten in to the program all ready - what is the hold up!

Has anyone heard of someone getting rejected from their alma mater? (I went to my first choice school for undergrad BA and I am now applying for BSN/MS program in Nursing)....

Thanks for listening to my rant...

My hubby didn't seem to understand why I got so emotional a couple of weeks ago when I was waiting to find out if I was accepted. He thought I was just nervous, that I thought I couldn't do it (the schooling, that is); actually, it was mostly about me just being worked up and frustrated about having to wait so long, and excited/freaked out about actually making it in. He kept giving me positive reinforcement, which was nice, but I was still a nervous wreck.

I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one who cried, if that makes any sense.
