Re: For all of us who are sweating bullets waiting on acceptance/rejection letters...

Hey, all Im Tiffany and new to this thread, if I'd seen it earlier I woulda been freaking out with the rest of you about waiting on my acceptance letter! I waited for two months and got my letter two days ago! HOWEVER, it wasn't the news I was hoping for. I wasn't accepted, but I was placed on an alternate list, not the answer I was looking for! The only plus side is I called and talked to a lady in the nursing dept. and while she said she couldn't tell me what number I am, she did tell me that only ten people made it on the alternate list, so Im hoping some people get accepted at a different school or defers their acceptance to next semester! I guess it's more of the same old waiting game now, we'll see what happens. By the way, CONGRATULATIONS to all that have found out they've been accepted!!!!!!!!!!!

Tiffany, I am so sorry!! But I will keep my fingers crossed that they accept some from the alternate list and you are HIGH UP on that list. Good luck and definitely keep us posted.

Re: For all of us who are sweating bullets waiting on acceptance/rejection letters...

I'm INNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!! I still can't believe it!!! I got a call yesterday, first they told me I was an alternate and after ten minutes, they call me back and told me I was invited officially. I'm soo happy!! I waited for allmost two years and I finally made it. Now I have to take the TEAS I'm so worried; I have just one week to study!!!

For those of you who are still waiting or got rejected, keep the faith and keep applying. Eventually you are going to be accepted!!!!

:bal loons:!!!!Faith moves mountains!!!!!

Re: For all of us who are sweating bullets waiting on acceptance/rejection letters...

I got a nice, fat envelope in the mail today!!! I got in to the part-time program I applied to. I'm still waiting to hear back from three other programs and this was originally not my first choice (but I'm already talking myself into the benefits of it!) so I'm still not 100% sure it is the program I will be doing. I'm just thrilled that I definitely will be starting nursing school in January 2008!

Re: For all of us who are sweating bullets waiting on acceptance/rejection letters...

I just had to get this off my chest....

....I AM SO TIRED. I have 75 college credits, done with everything except Microbio and the actual nursing courses. I sent in my application for clinical placement in September, and I found out recently that I won't get my acceptance/rejection letter until JANUARY. Maybe I am just a freak....but I can't SLEEP, I haven't been eating right and I have almost zero concentration. The program (BSN) at my school is competitive, like all schools, and I am feeling more and more down in the dumps every day. My GPA is alright I guess....3.27, good science grades, whatever. I just can't help but feel that I am not good ENOUGH.
I just want to cry

Re: For all of us who are sweating bullets waiting on acceptance/rejection letters...

I am IN!!!!! I thought for sure that I wasn't in, especially when November rolled around with no letter....I even went so far as to start to move on to plan B (I soooo should've called the school first) After anticipating the letter for weeks, I was shocked when it finally came yesterday. Now the real work begins....

GreenEyesRI, I am so sorry you have so long to wait! I think even the best possible applicant feels self doubt, especially with nursing programs being so competitive these days. Try to keep your mind off of it (I know, way easier said than done).

Congratulations to everyone who got in........great job!!!!!!

I'm a little jealous........I have to wait until January to find out and I already know that I won't be starting until (hopefully) spring 2009. The cc I applied to has a waiting list and they don't really care about GPA . I just want to start!!!!!

I wish the best of luck to all of you who will be starting NS next semester.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! That is awesome new that you got in...no more waiting!

GreenEyesRI and dienne, just hang in there. There is nothing you can do now but wait and I just tried to keep myself as busy as I possibly could...it was worse for me waiting at the end when I knew the letter was coming!!! Keep the faith that you WILL get accepted!!! Best of luck and keep us posted!

Re: For all of us who are sweating bullets waiting on acceptance/rejection letters...

Hi, I am new here.... Congratulations to all those that have been accepted. I am one of those who got an "alternate acceptance" letter at College of the Canyons in Valencia, CA. I have yet to hear from Los Angeles County College of Nursing and Allied Health and the other 3 schools i applied to. Just waiting..... I hear bad and good reviews of LACCNAA with it not being NLN accredited... any thoughts?
