Was your NCLEX easy??

I'm starting to get worried because I am really not sure how I did... I didn't seem to think the questions were all that hard, but, I know I missed alot too. I felt like some of the one's I didn't know, I should've known. Who's to say what the standard of hard is though. My test turned off at 85 (PN). Who thought their NCLEX was easy and did you pass or fail?

Also...what's up with those 15 q's that don't count? Are those your 1st 15 to test your level or are they mixed throughout the test??

Any response would be appreciated...

Dont worry you will i pass i feel the same way but i made it i stop at 120. When the question is getting harder it means you are picking up the right answer. Cheers

Re: Was your NCLEX easy??

I thought mine was easy (PN) it also stopped at 85. When I got to about # 75, the questions started to become ridiculously hard, meaning I didn't recognize a thing they were asking. From all my friends experience, I knew that was a great thing, I walked out of the room with a very strong feeling that I passed and I did...although I later second guessed my self because every one told me I should have felt like I failed.

I think the 15 "placebo" questions were mixed in my test......

Re: Was your NCLEX easy??

The NCLEX is designed so that testers (both passers and failers) get about 50% correct. That is why you don't hear more people talking about the exam being easy.

The 15 unscored questions appear during the first 75 questions, but they don't test your level or count toward your exam in any other way. They're testing the validity/difficulty of the questions, not testing you.

Re: Was your NCLEX easy??

See, that's the thing...I never felt like the questions got ridiculously hard...that's where I just don't know what they consider hard (but, who does). I'm afraid my test didn't get hard enough to pass. Don't get me wrong...I definately did not know a lot of answers (even though I felt like I should have) but, alot of them seemed to be pretty straight forward no brainers. I had a lot of pharm...around 10 or so, what's "essential", what's next, but alot seemed to be straight forward questions or just common sense. Nothing really out of left field like most will say. I don't have a strong feeling either way of whether I passed or failed. I guess I'll see in another 3 weeks or so. (California)

Re: Was your NCLEX easy??

i also think that and how could i pass if i felt my test was somewhat easy.
i ran out of time at 90 either that helped me or killed me. alot of my seemed pretty straight forward but the hard part was either eliminate the best right answer or the best wrong answer i felt like that maybe i took to much time but 45 min was br breaks and the practice questions that 2 of the types of questions i had never seen before so then i started to panic that maybe i might get some of those questions. i really dont think i passed im preparing to take it again but to do it much differently in so many ways good luck to you www

I thougth it was ridiculously hard. I felt like the questions were from another planet. I passed with 75 questions, THANK GOD....because that TEST was a MONSTER and I would never want to take it again.

Re: Was your NCLEX easy??

I dont know if it is easy as long as i can eliminate 2 choices. Well, the questions were easy to comprehend but when it comes to choices it spins your brain to tidbits unknowingly can't dichiper the relations between choices. I stoped at 75 and the computer just give me questions all asses first on my last five.

CAlifornia hurry send my results please.

Re: Was your NCLEX easy??

"Easy" is relative. What I might consider an easy question, another might consider difficult, and vice versa. Didn't you know people in school who easily answered questions you found hard? Did that make the questions hard or easy?

As long as the questions you get and answer correctly are at or above the minimum passing standard, you pass. Doesn't matter if you found them easy or hard. Some of the questions I got I rememeber thinking "this is for a NURSING exam, not a pre-requ for brain surgeons??". But some of them got me thinking "this is too easy, I must be failing this exam to get such a simple, straightforward question".

I passed the exam with both types of questions on my screen. Which questions were at the minimum standard, which were above or below, I couldn't say, no one here can either.

A former classmate of mine swore her test was way too easy, and she didn't believe that she likely got about half of them wrong. She felt she aced it, lol. And another found the test a total mind-wringer, sweating all the way through, and she didn't believe she could even have gotten 25% right, let alone 50%. They both passed.
