oh boy! with the failure of my first nclex i now look to a review course. which would you good people pick? kaplan nclex review or martin nursing review in the bay area? anybody take these? please help me thank you to all!

I personally used Kaplan and it worked for me. When I took my Nclex it was just like doing the Kaplan questions online. Hope this helps you!!!T, RN

I would check out the sticky Suzanne plan at the top of the thread it's free and there has been alot of success with it. New revised tip of Suzanne plan. She only sends out emails q 2 weeks.

i took the kaplan course and did the online q bank and passed w/ 75 questions. it was very helpful ... and worth the $400.00

I used Kaplan... I agree the questions had me ready for the NCLEX. Passed at 75 questions!

Kaplan was my choice, passed 1st time w/75 questions. I knew a lot of others who didn't think additional investment was worth while but I do not regret the choice to invest.

Hi - Question for you - Did you take the NCLEX once or twice? Did you pass if you took it the second time with NCLEX? I failed the first time and for the second time, I thought I would use KAPLAN to see if I can use their "strategy" to pass. So far so good but I have not taken the actual boards yet. My anxiety level is nearly gone. What is your opinion of how close the actual exam questions to Kaplan and using it to pass on the second try?

Saunders 4th edition!!!!!! I am a firm believer after taking the NCLEX one time (passed) that being more informed of material is more important than learning test strategies. I used saunders 4th E. studied the chapters/rationales and got my nursing knowledge up to par! This will help you more ...trust me... because the NCLEX can throw any type of question at you. It is better to know the answer rather than looking for certain words in a question JMHO.

Dr Martin reviews all the material that you had in nursing school (especially fundamentals and Med Surg). She also teaches you some test taking strategies. It is definitely the best of both worlds.

i'm new here...and i just wanted to say that i have taken the kaplan course 2 times and it did not work for me...it has worked for some of my friends but i did not find it helpful since i failed 3 times already...now i have decided to try suzzanes tips...and i'll see how that goes for me...hopefully its works...

being a full time mother of 2 and running a family owned business with my hubby...its pretty hard to get to study...but with each time i took the exam i did so much better then the last time...so i guess i'm slowly getting there...i'll just have hang in there and not give up...

wish me luck guys...i know i'll need it
