words of advice?

Ok

So I am taking the big test on the 16th,,of course I don't feel ready,,do you ever though? I study everyday,,sometimes the info sticks and sometimes I am just staring at the screen.
I am doing Kaplan and seem to score 55-62% just can't seem to get the safe 65%!!!!

Any questions or areas for those who have already taken the test that stick out in your mind as really hard,,any questions you can remember????

Just searching for any little help

Re: words of advice?

kristina~

We can't post NCLEX questions on here, but I would study more heavily on topics like infection control, TB, tracheostomy, know the diseases/patho, pharmacology, also many have suggested knowing medications advertised on TV (there is a thread), diabetes, know positioning, know how to prioritize groups of patients based on diseases/conditions, who to see 1st, who would you assess first, return phone messages 1st, delegation, therapeutic communication....

hope this helps!

Re: words of advice?

I think the highest I ever got on Kaplan was a 65 and most of the time I was right where you are. I did 100-150 questions every day and studied with a partner to go over the subjects I was not that comfortable with like cardiac and peds. I did Saunders too which I found to be difficult. I practiced the tree with all the questions so it became second nature but don't remember using it a lot on the NCLEX but I don't remember any of the questions either, I completed blocked it out. I had 77 questions and freaked out cause I thought for sure I failed but didn't. Good luck to you and any others who are taking the test.
