Well, now the LONG wait for the results (48 hours seems like a lifetime right now)! I am so glad that we don't have to wait 6 weeks to receive it by mail.
I tested this morning--scheduled for 0900, was able to start at 0820. (I was in the parking lot at 0740!! You never know what traffic will do!) I finished in an hour!
I had 75 questions with a lot more psych than I expected and NO math. I have no idea how I did. Good luck to all of you waiting to go today!! Is it Thursday yet???

Hey, this is a GREAT place to come to de-freak, lol.....if you look around, you'll see LOTS of people having all 265 questions, and also see them passing! The number of questions you have doesn't mean anything....you probably did alot better than you think you did! Hang in there

Hi everyone,
I'm using the Kaplan program to review and practice some questions, but I think that even with the most confident program, the nervouness are the same...I'm going to take my test on Aug 15, so I still have 4 weeks left, but I study hard 6 days a week and answering the most questions I can.
Good look to all those who going to take the NCLEX ....God is going to bless us for choosing that charitable career: nursing

What a horrid exam. Mine kept going after 75 questions. It ended at an oddball number; 178. I don't know what to think. The last two questions seemed easy, so I don't know what that means. It was more like riddical (like a riddle) thinking than critical thinking. My nerves are shot too.

Maguti
I did not use Kaplan (honestly, I have heard Kaplan mentioned a lot, but have no idea how it is even set up) but have heard good things. I took a 5 day review class (they recommended getting in 7,000 - 10,000 practice questions)and I had Saunder's Comp review book, Mosby's NCLEX flashcards as well as another book of just questions. What I found to be the BEST was the NCSBN's review program online ( http://www.learningext.com/products/rnreview/review.asp).
You pay for a certain number of weeks to have access to it ($50 for 3 weeks). It is set up in sectioned-outlined form. I think there is 1050+ pages of review along with 1250 questions. This was fabulous. I was able to get through all of the review pages in about 8 days and left the rest of my time for practice questions (I spent about 6 hours a day studying). I just tested today, so I can't tell you that it helped me pass--'cause I don't know yet!! (But, I did feel very calm taking the test because it felt familiar)
But, it is the most like the actual NCLEX in terms of questions types and set up. If you have a month, I would totally recommend checking this site out. Because it is by the NCSBN, you can count on it being accurate info relevant to the NCLEX. Good luck!!
