What to bring??

Hi everyone! I'm taking the NCLEX tomorrow and I was just wondering if there is anything else I need to bring besides my ATT and license?

And I know we can't bring anything into the test, but does this include a bottle of water?? I always have candy and a drink with me during an exam

Thanks!

And good luck to everyone else taking it tomorrow!

Re: What to bring??

They are pretty strict when it comes to taking the NCLEX and you can not bring anything with you besides your ATT and your license. Anything else you bring with has to be put in a locker outside the testing room (including your watch).

Good Luck, Shannon

Re: What to bring??

Like the above poster said. You cannot bring anything in with you while taking the test, however it is recommended that you bring a bottle of water/soda and some food (sandwhiches) just in case you have to use all 6 hours in taking the test. You will be given a locker in order to store your food and drink.

Re: What to bring??

As others stated, they are very strict about what you can bring inside the test site with you. I was told that the only thing I needed to bring inside with me was my identification and the key to the assigned locker. In terms of eating, I ate very light because I was too nervous, anyway. I had ginger ale and crackers with cheese to settle my stomach as well as prevent my sugar from going down, but there was no way that I would have been able to handle a big meal. You don't need a pen or paper...they will provide you with a slate that only they are allowed to erase, and a magic marker. If you need a calculator, there is one on the screen. All you bring is yourself. Good luck tomorrow and think positive.

Amazingly, no....not even your watch. I had mine "taken" when I got to the second fingerprint station just outside the exam room door.

I honestly thought my JEWELRY would be confiscated, lol.....and I was wearing my Lucky Earrings!! Happily, my ears got to stay decorated

No tissues. Nothing. I had a nasty nagging cough, and the proctor I think was more concerned about me annoying other testers than how *I'D* fare, so she put me in the "special booth" (glassed off from the others, directly in front of proctor) and handed me two unwrapped suckers from her own dish. Couldn't even bring in my own cough drops, EVEN unwrapped.

Nope...you call the proctor and they erase it for you. Don't know the answer to that one, but I guess I can understand the watch. These days, there are so many gadgets that can give information that I believe they don't miss a beat. I remember once in school, there was a rumor that someone had a computerized pencil that gave information and from then, we were banned from using anything but traditional #2 pencils for the scan trons.
