Well..Im back from 2nd time..uuggghhh

..nclex
2nd time today.

first time 215 quesions-fail

today, 122 questions..

The last question i dont know if i got it right or wrong, ive looked it up and it could go either way..one source supports my answer the other source supports the other answer i didnt choose.soooooo---

i felt sooo prepared today, and now i feel i bombed this test.

Kaplan says that the longer you go (i.e number of questions given) and still fail--the closer you came to passing.

well,, if that holds true and i fail this time--i really bombed this one.

the ONLY good thing that i can take from this time (today) is that i got a lot more priority questions (which indicate higher level of difficulty) and delegation, etc... i got more this time in my 122 quetions than i did at 215 questions.

am i reaching for straws--yes, but whatever i can do to lower my blood pressure--ill take it

well..no i guess, its back to the ol "wake up everyday at 5am to check the California BRN website to see if my name it there routine"--last time i did that for 3 weeks, slept..mabye 2 hours a night, if you wann call that sleep.

hang in there jon. i dont think anyone comes out of that dreadful test thinking they did awesome. and if someone tells you they did, they're lying. keep praying and just spend some time with the family. the rest will all fall into place.

Re: Well..Im back from 2nd time..uuggghhh

I don't want to jump the gun and congratulate you but I believe you did all you can to prepare for the nclex the 2nd time around.

if you felt prepared going into the nclex and came out thinking it was a hard test and challenged your mind, then feel good about it.

California BON really needs to get things together and make it easier and quicker for nclex canidates to find out their results. They don't realize how difficult it is to wait 2-3weeks for test results.

Here where I live it takes our BON 2-3 days for them to mail you the results. They are very quick and also they actually answer their phones. I tried calling the california BON and they don't answer their phones and it goes straight to voicemail. at least here where I live, they may not be the nicest people to talk to but they answer all of your questions and answer the phone calls.

Re: Well..Im back from 2nd time..uuggghhh

Thank you so much for the well wishes, I feel for all of us. especially us in california..I still dont see why they just cant tell you ON SCREEN if you pass or not ??!! its not likle you can plead to the test proctors to change your score.....This waiting is the hard part, last time (for 3 weeks) i seriously thought i was hving reanl failure,,you know--hight stress (the silent killer)==renal failure..now im beggining to feel "it" yet again, i know for sure (verified by my wife) that ive gotten alot more grey hair...

Its just been a hard month,

My wife and i were expecting. AND were going to adopt a baby last week, we already have a 2year old son.--so i was looing forward on having 3 kids under 3 !! yikes+ studying for my nclex again

well on our way to the hospital to pick up our adoptive daughter (with all fees, couseling, painting the room, teling family, etc)...the mom changed he rmind----on our way TO the hospital

then my wife miscarried.

its been rough here this past month for my family, my 2 yeqr old son keeps asking for "kyra" the sister , we prepared him to meet..its heartbreaking, but life goes on

I dont want to seem selfish, but i just hope that we can have some good news, that i passed.
