The Wait begins....

Hey everyone.
I took the NCLEX today. Mine was scheduled for 3 pm, I got there at 1:30 pm (didn't know how traffic would be and wasn't sure which building it was in). I had to pee, so I went inside and thought "Maybe I will just check it out and see if I can get in early". I went inside and the receptionist said "Hello, are you here for the NCLEX?" I said I was very early, and she said "That's fine, you can start now if you want". YEA. So, I started at 1:40 pm and 50 minutes and 75 questions later, it turned off and I did the survey. I tried really hard NOT to look at how many questions I had done, but when it said 71 items, I was nervous then. After I answered the 75th item, and I hit Next, I closed my eyes and then opened them to a blank screen.

Not sure how I feel about it, but I did have quite a few priority (who do you see first, who do you assess immediately, who do you call back first), infection control, and a number of meds. No dosage and only one select all that apply. I had one ECG strip to interpret. No biggie. I don't feel it was too terribly difficult, but I still am unsure how I did.

A friend of mine took hers Monday morning and found out on the BON website the next day (alittle over 24 hours) that she had a licence issued. So, hopefully, I should know by Friday at the latest.

WHEW, it's over with and hopefully, for good!! Will keep you posted.

You're test sounds just like mine!! I thought I was the only one who had to interpret an ECG strip!! I knew it off the bat, but it was a little strange to see it!!! I wasn't able to get my results today, so we'll have to just wait til tomorrow!! Hopefully it will be up tomorrow morning!!! Good luck hearing your results!!

Re: The Wait begins....

Hope you are right. So far, I have indulged in 3 beers and may have another!!! I am making a homemade pizza right now and then I am going to watch a movie. I hope to take my mind off of it for the next day or two. OK, I know I can't take my mind off it, but I will not stress so much. Thanks!

Re: The Wait begins....

The wait is killing me. I thought I'd be able to handle it, but I am now starting to "freak" alittle. I felt pretty confident yesterday, and you know how you end up "reliving" the whole thing? And you start over analyzing? And you start doubting your answers?? Well, that's what is happening to me right now. I told myself that if I got 75 questions with all those priority ones, infection control, meds, etc that I would be ok, but I was looking over some infection control stuff and I know some that I totally missed. Why did I do that to myself???? LOL Now, I am starting to doubt myself. I WANT ANSWERS!!! I WANT TO KNOW!!! LOL

Ok, now that I got that off my chest, I am just going to TRY and keep myself busy today. My car is in the shop as of this morning, so I can't go anywhere. BUMMER. I was hoping to go shopping and spend money that I don't have. Well, there's always ONLINE shopping!!! LOL
